I came here with my family for lunch before our flight back to Toronto. We enjoyed the sushi+sashimi combo and appetizer salads. The owner was really friendly and recommended the asparagus salad even though we were doubtful, which ended up being delicious! We've had our share of sushi in Toronto and we really enjoyed this spot.

Caution: Don’t come if you’re already starving! This is our second time visiting this cute, cozy sushi spot. There’s only one person running the whole place — taking orders, preparing food, and serving — so expect a bit of a wait. But trust me, it’s worth it! Every dish is made with care, and you can really taste the quality. We’ll definitely be back again soon, of course.
Love the food — absolutely yummy!

I recently dined at Sushi Maki , and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and each dish was beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I highly recommend this restaurant to any sushi lover! Try the house roll. You will not be disappointed.

Hands down the best sushi I have ever had…and that’s saying something after eating at places like Nobu and Kyujiro. Nothing compares to Sushi Maki. It’s a small, intimate spot with only a few tables (3-4) and run by just one man, which makes the whole experience even more special. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the care he puts into every piece of sushi truly shows. The quality, freshness, and craftsmanship were on another level. Without exaggeration, this was the best sushi of my life. If you’re in St. John’s, this is a must-visit

Sushi is so good, so fresh, so amazing. My picky kid gives it two thumbs up and orders seconds every time. Take your family here for excellent healthy food… and there’s a Pac-Man machine… yep… Pac-Man !
